The Laughing Shadow - A Parker Novel
Hello Pulp Friends,
No, this is not a missing novel that just came out (even if it would be GREAT if it was true). This is just me tributing two great men who helped to make the Pulp world richer and greater who recently passed away: Donald Westlake (Richard Stark), crime-fiction writer and Parker series creator, and Edward D. Cartier, artist and illustrator of many pulp novels, especially The Shadow which is so dear to us.
The fake cover below is what came to my mind when trying to do something with Parker and The Shadow together. The design is inspired by actual Parker novel covers.
Thank you Chad and Cohen for the heads up and thank you Donald and Edward for entertain us and all the fans before and after us.
Cheers to you both!
Francesco

Heck, FF, you had me at "Parker" and then proceded to team him up in the same story with The Shadow??? I couldn't stand if this was real; my mind would melt like Toht in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.
Thanks so much for this!
Wow. What a great tribute! Lovely composition as well.
Wow!

Great image, Francesco! That would be an interesting team-up.
HA! Keep your eyes closed, Chad , keep your eyes closed!! ^__^ Thank you so much :)
Thank you, Dave ! Glad you dig the composition too: I tried to give it some depth.
And thank you, Rory : :) Not sure if I prefer a team-up or more the SHadow chasing Parker situation ;)
Cheers,
Francesco
