"La Mano della Strega"

Un Requiem Per Santiago!

Hello Pulp Friends,

just got back from the beautiful Charleston so I am tight on time to do a new Shadow episode (hope you all will forgive me), but I wanted to post a little something anyway since it's Sunday.
So I hope you guys enjoy this "Witch's Hand" that I recently did for a project I am working on. More details on this later, but I have a feeling you guys are going to dig this book :)

Have a great Pulp Sunday, everyone, or what it remains of it anyway ;)

"League Of Terror" (January 9, 1938)

League Of Terror
Hello Pulp Friends,

This week the Shadow faces with a dangerous counterfeit money ring.
After the innocent Michael Sullivan is sentenced to jail time becuase in possession of counterfeit bills, Lamont and Margo decide to investigate and find out why Sullivan is so afraid to tell who gave him the money.
To bring down this criminal racket, they will ask help to Sullivan's daugther, Mary.

Not the best quality audio in this episode, titled "Legue of Terror", but still a very enjoyable one.

I will never get tired of the accent of the bad guys and of the deliciously retro feel of their (nick)names: Trigger, Big Boss... It reminded me so much of the Dick Tracy villain names :)

Enjoy the show and have a great (pulp) Sunday!

"Un Requiem Per Santiago!"

Un Requiem Per Santiago!

Hello Pulp & SpaghettiWestern Friends,

this started intially like a quick caricature of Danny Trejo done in a break between sequential pages, but I got back to it now and then and carried away a little ;)
Hope you dig the poster becuase I don't think we all have a chance to dig the actual movie ;)

"The Ruby of Karaval" (November 21, 1937)

The Ruby of Caraval
Hello Pulp Friends,

After the Black Beetle parenthesis (no worries, BB will be back with way more), we go back to the classic Old Time Radio show as promised. And we go back to the Shadow! :)

In this week's episode, titled "The Ruby of Karaval", we deal with a ruby that carries a 500 year old curse.

The ruby was stolen centuries ago from the gates of Karaval and ends up in modern times (well, the '30s) in the mansion of Hugo Savar, actor and collector. A notorious crook (Moonlight Joe, gotta love those names) forces a make-up artist to change Joe's face into Hugo's and sneaks in Hugo's house to steal the ruby. But things get complicated when Lamont and Margo show up in the same house and people start to die. Is it the curse of the ruby or something else?

Enjoy the show and have a great (pulp) Sunday!

Sea of Red

Zorro #15 Back Cover

No, I am not talking about Remender's Vampires/Pirates mini from few years back (I worked on that mini btw - it was FUN! :)), even if the story that this image is a teaser of will have quite a few pirates involved ;)

The story is Zorro #16, and the image is the back cover of issue #15 (those of you who have been following the tile know that I like to put a "coming next" teaser illo on the back of the books).
Below one of the main guys showing up in issue 16.

Captain Vasquez
Can't believe we are just a couple of weeks (I think) away from the relase of the new arc and can't wait to see how all came together in print. You guys are gonna ENJOY this arc, I promise :)

Black Beetle: pages 8-9
Hello Pulp friends :)

with today's page, "NO WAY OUT" is taking a little break. Good things are happening to Black Beetle so you will be able (hopefully sometime soon-ish) to read the whole first mini (132 pages circa) printed on nice paper and holding it in your hands :D
Somehow I managed to package a really good story, I think, and can't wait to show it to you guys :)

Meanwhile I am planning to go back and doing a few more illustrated OTR shows (with related mp3) and few more special weeks (like Mad Doctors or a British Pulp week, like a friend was suggesting :)). And there will be more little tales from Colt City: that city is just too big to be just about BB ;)
As you can see, there will be still pleanty of Pulp goodness in here so stay tuned!

Hope you dig page 10 and have a great Pulp Sunday everyone :)
