Doc Savage
(click on the above image for a bigger view!)
Hello Pulp friends :)
I have been wanting to draw Doc Savage for a long time so you will understand how happy I was when I was asked to illustrate a Doc Savage article for the 2010 issue oof the awesome pulp magazine "THE PULPSTER" (out in August - cover below).
The above text is just something I added: in the magazine you will find the actual article on the side bar and on the next pages.
Hope you guys dig it and have a wonderful Pulp Sunday everyone :)
Cheers,
Francesco

You Better Learn Fast...

... with the below RT-24 INSTRUCTION BOOK!
That's all I have to say ;)
But...only 20ish supporters? That's kinda weak, especially for a giant robot ;)
Seriuosly, hope you all are digging this because I am building up a special story for it. :)
Cheers,
Francesco

U.S.R.A. The Factory
~~ click on the image for 1200px wide view ~~
Hi guys, I couldn't help to do some more concept art about this.
This scene in particular was burning in my mind and had to put it on paper :)
This is a rough concept art illo that eventually I will bring to a more finished stage, meanwhile I thought you guys would get a kick out of it :)
Again, please lemme know your thoughts about a possible U.S.R.A. sequentials project: thumbs up, thumbs down, insults, props, whatever - it's all good and will help me to figure out better how much energy I need to put in this :)
And while we are at it, let me assure you KARA BOCEK will eb back with the second and concluding part soon. Stay tuned!
Cheers,
Francesco

The Dream Job...
~~ click on the image for giant ROBOT view ~~
...is piloting one of this bad boy :D
This is the last (for now) installment of Giant Robot Week from last week (I know, it was so giant that it spilled in this week ;)).
Everyone seems digging the U.S.R.A. so should I try to explore that more? Maybe in sequential format? Anyone supporting this idea? Uh? ;) :)
EDITED to add the USRA motor vehicle permit below: I mean, really, who wouldn't love to get one of these? ;) :D
Hope you guys dig the logo I created :)
Cheers,
Francesco

The Death Laser!
(click on the strip for a better reading experience :))
Hello Pulp Friends :)
It was 1960s Nick Fury week over at Comic Twart, and I decided to do a little Sternako inspired strip/story which I posted yesterday there.
Since the format I sued was similiar to our beloved Sunday strips, I added a cover image this morning and I am posting in it since I think it qualifies as goold Pulp comic :)
Hope you guys enjoy it even if it's a very short tale :)
Have a Wonderful Pulp Sunday everyone :)
Cheers,
Francesco

The U.S.R.A. Wants You!
~~ click on the image for giant ROBOT view ~~
For Day 3 of Giant Robot Week I came up with this ad from the 40s for the U.S.R.A. (United States Robot Army).
Who doesn't want to become a pilot of a 65 ft tall robot anyway? ;)
Hope you guys are enjoying the series :)

Francesco

Played a bit on the Red Dawn concept, and give it an old movie poster feel to it. Hope you all dig it :)

Those Darn Hatfield Kids!
(click on the above image for a larger view)
Hello Pulp Friends,
Decided to celebrate this 4th July with one of the most "Americana" piece I have done in comics, clearly inspired by the great Norman Rockwell.
This was a cover for a short story I did back in 2006, and recently collected in the Image anthology "Tales of the Starlight Drive-in" (all tales were written by the talented Mike Sangiacomo).
Happy 4th of July, everyone :)
Cheers,
Francesco
