Black Beetles - Part 2

Black Beetle by Darwyn Cooke
Hello Pulp friends :)

Yesterday I shared the beautiful Black Beetle sketch I unexpectedly received from Dan Brereton this past weekend. I was already very excited by this joyful surprise so you can imagine how I felt when I saw a seconf BB tribute being dropped on my table. My dear good friend Dar left me speachless when he delivered this in my hands. Thank you so much, Dar! :)

I will be talking about his beautiful "HUNTER" soon. (If you haven't picked up yet, do yourself a favor and pick up the hardcover: a magnificent book and a true labor of love for the subject matter)

To see the past tributes/homages to BB check this after Heroes Con post.
I am a lucky man :D

Tomorrow I will be back with more Pulp Sci-Fi.

Cheers,
Francesco

Love it.

Ha, very cool. Still like your version better, but there is a crispness in Cooke's that I like too.

The original is still the best but this Cooke guy's art isn't half bad, who knows with a little polish he might go somewhere in this business.... Kidding aside, that is very cool, it's nice to know you keep good company with folks like him and Brereton, both great artists. Hope everything is swell.

Thank you so much, Anthony, Kyle, Greg, and Ruben, glad you enjoyed the Black Beetle homages from Dan and Dar :D
Yep, I told both Dan & Darwyn that they have some chops and should try to do some comics work ;)

Cheers,
